Red Line Floating Slab Work 87% Complete

Updated on February 20, 2020

Crew members replace floating slabs at Porter during the January 24–26, 2020, Red Line weekend shutdown

We resumed floating slab work between Harvard and Alewife on the Red Line in January 2020.

During some of the weekend shutdowns for this work, we will also replace rail to keep the tracks in a state of good repair and support the new Red Line vehicles coming into service.

We thank you for your patience during these closures.
