A computer rendering shows what the Lynn Fells Parkway Bridge will look like after full replacement.

We’re replacing the Lynn Fells Parkway Bridge, which carries the Haverhill Line of the Commuter Rail over the Lynn Fells Parkway in Melrose. On August 27, crews will begin assembling the new bridge superstructure.

This project will bring the bridge to a State of Good Repair, improving safety, resiliency, and reliability of the Haverhill Line.

What to Expect During This Work

Work will begin at 8 PM on Friday, August 27, and continue around the clock through 5 AM on Monday, August 30.

Neighborhood Impacts

Lynn Fells Parkway and Vinton Street will be detoured through the weekend. We will install signage indicating the detour route before construction begins. We encourage drivers to avoid the area or use alternate routes to avoid delays.
