Transforming the T

The T is evolving every day—renovating stations, modernizing fare collection systems, upgrading services for our buses, subways, and ferries, and improving the accessibility of the entire system for people of all abilities.

Take a look at what we're working on to make the MBTA better.

North Quincy station, parking lot, and bike racks

A surface-level parking lot at North Quincy Station is being replaced with a new parking garage as part of a redevelopment project at the station.

Better Bus Project: Making transit better together

Too many of our bus routes still fail to live up to our own standards. Through the Better Bus Project, we are changing that.

A Commuter Rail train pulls into the outbound platform at Blue Hill Avenue Station.

The new Commuter Rail station in Mattapan opened to Fairmount Line customers on February 25, 2019.
