ShuttleDue to unforeseen elevator issues, trains will bypass Winchester Station. Passengers can take a shuttle bus between Winchester Center and Wedgemere for train service until end of service today. Winchester Station will be open Tuesday October 1, 2024.The MBTA is committed to providing accessible transportation options for all passengers. Unfortunately, we have encountered unforeseen delays in the completion of the elevator work at Winchester Center station. As a result, we were unable to open the station as initially scheduled September 30. Shuttle buses will be replacing service.
We are actively working to resolve these issues and ensure that the station meets all accessibility standards.
We appreciate the patience and understanding of our riders during this process and are dedicated to providing updates as we move forward. There will be a shuttle bus available to bring Winchester Center passengers to and from Wedgemere for scheduled Commuter Rail service.Updated: 9/30/2024 5:56 PM EDT -
